Pathogen Resistance

Electrical treatment reduces plant susceptibility to fungal, bacterial, and viral pathogens by activating endogenous immune and antioxidant defense pathways.

Multiple studies report reductions in pathogen load and infection rate in electrically treated crops. The 2025 Romanian potato field trial found lower viral infection rates in electromagnetically stimulated tubers versus untreated controls. This is thought to result from the upregulation of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT) and improved cellular membrane integrity.
