Key Findings

This study compared the biostimulating effects of red, green, and blue laser wavelengths on pre-treated maize seeds. By exposing seeds to monochromatic laser light for durations of 45 to 105 seconds, the researchers significantly improved the phenology and yield components of the crop. The blue laser wavelength proved most effective for maximizing grain yield and increasing the number of kernel rows on each ear.
