This study conducted by researchers at Samara State Agrarian University evaluated the impact of high-intensity pulsed electric fields on the growth of vegetable green crops in protected ground. Testing a range from 10 to 50 kV/m, the authors determined that 30 kV/m maximizes both growth speed and biomass accumulation. Beyond yield, the technology successfully improved crop uniformity, which is critical for commercial harvest standards, while providing an energy-efficient and chemical-free production method.
