Electrical stimulation — whether applied to seeds before planting or to the soil during growth — consistently shortens the time between germination and key developmental milestones. The potato field study (2025) measured approximately four days’ acceleration in shoot emergence, and the sorghum dormancy study (2024) demonstrated that brief DC current treatment can break seed dormancy and accelerate germination at optimal current levels.
